Dairy Product Markets Mostly Down
WASHINGTON - May 5/06 - SNS -- Dairy product markets in the United States were largely lower across the seven days ending April 29, reveals today's USDA report on the sector.
Cheddar Cheese prices realized for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $1.16 per pound. The price per pound increased 1.2 cents versus last week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $1.14 per pound, down 0.2 cents from the previous week.
Butter prices paid for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.15 per pound. The U.S. price per pound advanced 1.0 cents compared to last week.
Nonfat Dry Milk prices paid for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A standards averaged 84.2 cents per pound. The U.S. price per pound fell 0.9 cents from the previous week.
