Ag Markets Start Week On Slow NoteCHICAGO - May 1/06 - SNS -- International agricultural commodity markets are off to an unusually slow start this week, with little fresh business reported over the weekend. Limited physical business in primary agricultural commodities is leaving markets to focus on alternate and external demand issues, such as strong energy markets and ongoing increases in the volume of ethanol being produced in the United States. However, ethanol markets were mixed, with Brazilian suppliers complaining about weaker prices in the face of rising production on account of sugar cane harvest activity in the country.
