Spot Pea Markets Find SupportVANCOUVER - Apr 28/06 - SNS -- The apparent decision by western Canadian growers to boost field pea seedings has added support to spot markets by further limiting the available supply of peas. Canada has already exported a record quantity of peas this year. Product shipped and ready to load nominated vessels at Vancouver and Thunder Bay now totals at least 2.2 million MT, exceeding the previous best export record of 2.195 million MT set in 2000-01. Season exports should reach at least 2.5 million MT by July 31, suggesting ending stocks will collapse from 595,000 MT last summer to no more than 250,000 MT or 7.3% of usage.
