Australian Livestock Auction Action SinksSYDNEY - Apr 21/06 - SNS -- Livestock sold through online auctions managed by AuctionsPlus Pty Ltd fell during the past week as declines in sheep and lamb sales swamped a rise in cattle offerings. Throughput for the week totalled 13,740 sheep and lambs, down from 30,141 head the previous week. The number of cattle put through the company's auctions totalled 4,655, compared to 443 last week. "The lack of available slaughter sheep must be looming as a major winter problem for processors. Cattle throughput was very good," AuctionsPlus's Dean Lemmich said.
