USDA Buys for 500 MT Lentils
KANSAS CITY - Apr 19/06 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 500 metric tons (MT) of lentils for prepositioning at Gulf ports for eventual shipment as food aid.
Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender Solicitation 046A, the USDA bought the lentils for shipment between May 21 and June 12 from inland plants or between June 12 and July 5 from plants located at port.
