Australian Livestock Auction Action JumpsSYDNEY - Apr 13/06 - SNS -- Livestock sold through online auctions managed by AuctionsPlus Pty Ltd rose during the past week as a jump in sheep and lamb sales offset a drop in cattle offerings. Throughput for the week totalled 30,141 sheep and lambs, up from 21,443 head the previous week. The number of cattle put through the company's auctions totalled 443, compared to 2,944 last week. "It's difficult to give any comprehensive report on cattle with these numbers, but it was impressive to see 333 kg composite steers at Goondiwindi make 212c, and Angus steers, 322 kg at Glen Innes make 220.8c/kg," AuctionsPlus's Dean Lemmich said.
