France -- Field Pea Export SummaryVANCOUVER - Apr 12/06 - SNS -- France field pea export clearances improved in February, but remain below year earlier levels, judging from the latest export clearance data assembled by the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP). Clearances during the month totalled 30,775 metric tons (MT), up 6.5% from January, but down 21.2% from the same month last year on account of a steep reduction in shipments to Belgium. This lifted export clearances so far during the 2005-06 shipping campaign to 286,700 MT, down from 390,100 MT during the same eight-month period of the 2004-05 marketing campaign.
