Tighter Sugar Outlook for U.S.WASHINGTON - Apr 10/06 - SNS -- The 2006-07 marketing year will end with less sugar on hand than initially thought, predicts the USDA's World Agricultural Outlook Board. Projected U.S. sugar ending stocks for 2005-06 are decreased 10,000 short tons, raw value from last month, as lower beginning stocks and production more than offset lower deliveries to manufacturers for re-export in products. A 50,000-ton reduction in tariff rate quota imports, due to increased shortfall, is offset by a 50,000-ton increase in high-tier sugar imports from Mexico.
