Cargill Buying Afgri Ltd's Cotton GinsNEW YORK - Apr 7/06 - SNS -- Cargill Inc. has agreed to buy Afgri Ltd's southern African cotton ginning business. The deal gives Cargill full ownership of the company's three gins in Zambia, three in South Africa and a majority interest in a company with two gins in Malawi. The combined annual capacity of the facilities is 150,000 bales. The purchase is subject to regulatory approvals.
