Australian Livestock Auction Action FallsSYDNEY - Apr 7/06 - SNS -- Livestock sold through online auctions managed by AuctionsPlus Pty Ltd dropped during the past week in the face of declining sheep and cattle offerings. Throughput for the week totalled 21,443 sheep and lambs, down from the previous week. The number of cattle put through the company's auctions totalled 2,944, off on the week. "Throughput fell away this week due to a number of factors. Rainfall in the northern regions of Queensland has slowed stockwork, and NSW and Vic are shortening up on sheep in particular. SA and WA still seem to have good feed but its coming to crunch time for many in the eastern states," AuctionsPlus's Dean Lemmich said.
