Lentil Markets Get Small LiftVANCOUVER - Mar 31/06 - SNS -- Improving demand and difficulty sourcing material from North American growers is lending some support to lentil markets. There is no question there will be a substantial carryover of lentils in Canada this season, but rising export buying interest is generating some hope it will smaller than initially expected. However, Canadian growers remain deeply frustrated with prices being bid for last year's production, a problem exacerbated by the fact the fair average quality of Canada's 2005 harvest was No 2 grade and a substantial portion of the remaining lentils are offgrade.
