'Spring Sale' on Canadian LentilsVANCOUVER - Mar 24/06 - SNS -- International lentil markets finished the week's trading on a generally weaker tone as some Canadian shippers started their spring sales. Buyers in some destinations are reporting excellent deals on extra 3 and No 2 large green or Laird lentils, even as sellers express serious concerns about acreage cut backs for that class of lentil this year. Some processors are looking for growers to slash large green lentil area by up to a third, diverting that land into red and small green lentils.
