USDA Buys for 60 MT Beans
KANSAS CITY - Mar 122/06 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 60 metric tons (MT) of small red beans for shipment to Nicaragua.
Under terms of USDA PL-4800 food aid tender Solicitation No. 036A, the USDA paid Maviga N.A. Inc an average $476.04 MT or $21.59 per 100 pounds (cwt) delivered Gulf ports for small red beans packed in 50 kg bags for shipment between April 21 and May 5 for inland plants and between May 6 and May 20 for plants located at the port.
