UK Feed Pea Usage Rises in JanuaryVANCOUVER - Mar 10/06 - SNS -- The quantity of pulses consumed by the United Kingdom's compound feed industry posted a good increase in January, with both feed pea and bean usage rates rising from 12,600 metric tons (MT) last year to a combined total of 14,800 MT this year. The volume of beans used advanced from 10,200 MT in December to 11,200 MT in January, up 19% from the volume used by feed manufacturers one year earlier. Feed pea usage advanced from 3,200 MT in December and January of last year to 3,600 MT. Despite the improvement, pulse usage by the United Kingdom’s compound feed industry is down from recent highs.
