Mexican Harvest Pressures Chickpeas
VANCOUVER - Mar 10/06 - SNS -- International chickpea markets continue to soften in the face of ongoing harvest activity in Mexico.
Some decline was expected, but few companies are reflecting the changes in grower bid levels in western Canada. A few processors and exporters seem to still be working to cover earlier sales and are willing to pay up to secure product.
This has resulted in a wide bid range for all calibers of spot market chickpeas.
