Cotton Residuals BuildingWASHINGTON - Mar 10/06 - SNS -- A modest decline in the projected size of this season's world cotton harvest will not offset decreases in consumption which are expected to drive season ending stocks higher, believes the USDA's World Agricultural Outlook Board. The USDA said its updated estimates for 2005-06 include lower production and consumption and higher trade, resulting in marginally higher ending stocks. Production is reduced mainly in India and the African Franc Zone, partially offset by an increase for Zimbabwe. Consumption is reduced in India, Taiwan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan.
