World Lentil Markets Under PressureVANCOUVER - Mar 3/06 - SNS -- International lentil markets remain under pressure as growers and processors in Canada try to move as much green lentils as possible before the end of the marketing year. This has translating into significant reductions in export asking prices for No 2 and lower grades of lentils in South America. With seedings of green lentils expected to decline in western Canada this spring in favor of reds, lower asking prices today should also stimulate European buying for delivery during the summer months.
