Pea and Lentil Tenders Reach 32,240 MT
KANSAS CITY - Feb 23/06 - STAT -- The quantity of peas and lentils covered by USDA PL-480 food aid tenders this season now totals 135,150 MT, compared to 95,630 MT last year.
Purchases of green peas are down 9,630 MT at 11,550 MT versus 21,180 MT last season. Food aid demand for U.S. regular lentils is up 31,850 MT from last year's 34,960 MT.
