Pulse Usage by UK Feeders Down in 2005VANCOUVER - Feb 9/06 - SNS -- The quantity of pulses used by compound feed manufacturers in the United Kingdom was down 5% in 2005 at an estimated 120,440 metric tons (MT), according to the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). Year to year fluctuations in consumption are not uncommon in the United Kingdom, with usage peaking at 173,150 MT in 1999.
