Cattle Trade Outlook CloudedWASHINGTON - Feb 9/06 - SNS -- Uncertainties over trade caused by the aftermath of the BSE crisis continues to cloud the outlook for the cattle sector, according to the USDA's World Agricultural Outlook Board latest usage forecasts. Forecasts for 2006 assume a continuation of policies currently in place among U.S. trading partners. For this month's report, the following conditions are assumed: 1) The recent suspension of beef imports is temporary pending resolution of Japan's concerns. 2) A framework for the reopening of South Korea to imports of U.S. beef has been announced but regulations are still being written to incorporate the requirements.
