Egg Use Drops in DecemberWASHINGTON - Feb 7/06 - SNS -- The quantity of eggs used by food manufacturers in the United States in December dropped 5% below year earlier and 4% below month earlier levels to total 161 million dozen, reports the USDA. During calendar year 2005 through December, shell eggs broken totaled 2.05 billion dozen, up 6 percent from the 1.93 billion dozen broken in the comparable period in 2004.
