LITTLE ROCK - Feb 6/06 - SNS -- The latest weekly rice market summary for the United States was released by the USDA today.

   Domestic shipment: Offers, fob mills, milled rice, spot prices, dollars per
cwt, bagged. (All milled rice grade No 2 not to exceed 4 percent brokens,
except California grade No 1. All second heads grade No 4 or better, second
head and brewers are bulk.)

                             Domestic Situation

   Domestic milled rice price quotes were mostly steady, instances higher. By-
products were uneven, mostly steady in the south, steady in California.

   In the south, long grain rice prices were steady to instances 1.25 higher,
quoted mostly at 16.25-16.50; medium grain prices were steady, quoted mostly at
22.00-23.00; parboiled rice prices were steady, quoted mostly from 17.50-18.00;
second heads were steady, quoted mostly at 9.00-10.00; brewers were steady,
quoted mostly at 8.50. Rice by-products: Offers for rice bran were uneven;
millfeed was steady to 6.00 lower; hulls were steady to 5.00 lower.

   In California, medium grain milled rice prices were steady, quoted mostly
from 23.00-24.00; short grain prices were steady; second heads were steady;
brewers were steady. Brokens remain in tight supply. Rice bran was steady; rice
hulls were steady.
