Minnesota Soybean Growers Pursue State Check-OffST. PAUL - Jan 26/06 - SNS -- The Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council will hold a referendum to ask growers if they wish to replace their national check-off with a Minnesota check-off if the national check-off program is discontinued. In the event that the national program is discontinued, the state council is proposing a check-off in the same amount now charged under the national program which is 0.5%. Soybean growers may cast their ballot at one of these locations on the following dates before 3PM: Feb. 13 -- Holiday Inn, 2365 - 43rd St. NW, Owatonna Feb. 13 -- Orville Freeman Bldg., 625 N Robert St., St. Paul Feb. 14 -- Best Western Garden Inn, 1111 Range St., North Mankato Feb. 15 -- Holiday Inn, 2100 E Hwy 12, Willmar Feb. 16 -- Marshall Inn, 1500 E College Dr, Marshall Feb. 17 -- Broadway Ballroom, 115 - 30th Ave E, Alexandria Feb. 17 -- Northland Inn, Hwy 2 & 75 N, Crookston
