Largely Unchanged Chickpea Market
VANCOUVER - Jan 20/06 - SNS -- Chickpea markets were largely unchanged during the past week, as buying interest, though light, remains well ahead of the available supply of product.
More processors in Canada say they are effectively sold out of chickpeas, after accounting for their own seed set aside needs and some holding of planting seed by growers. This reflects keen interest in growing the crop in Canada, with some processors talking about massive increases in local seeding.
