Markets Active Before USDA ReportsCHICAGO - Jan 10/06 - SNS -- Trading activity on international agricultural commodity markets continued at a good pace, helped by the announcement of details of Thursday's regular wheat import tender by Japan's agriculture department and the removal of the ban on new rice export sales by Vietnam. Markets were otherwise preoccupied with the developing weather story in Argentina and anticipation over Thursday's final USDA report on 2005 crops, its quarterly stocks report, and updated supply-demand forecasts for major grains and oilseeds. Traders are looking for the USDA to boost projected ending stocks for soybeans and some evidence that low prices managed to stimulate corn demand.
