Holiday.*
Domestic shipment: Offers, fob mills, milled rice, spot prices, dollars per
cwt, bagged. (All milled rice grade No 2 not to exceed 4 percent brokens,
except California grade No 1. All second heads grade No 4 or better, second
head and brewers are bulk.)

Domestic Situation
Domestic milled rice price quotes were steady to higher. By-products were
uneven in the south, steady to higher in California.
In the south, long grain rice prices were steady to instances 2.00 higher,
quoted mostly at 15.00-16.00; medium grain prices were steady to instances 50
cents lower, quoted mostly at 22.00-23.00; parboiled rice prices were steady to
50 cents higher, quoted mostly from 16.50-17.00; second heads were steady,
quoted mostly at 9.00-10.00; brewers were steady, quoted mostly at 8.50. Rice
by-products: Offers for rice bran were uneven; millfeed was uneven; hulls
were steady to 3.00 lower.
In California, medium grain milled rice prices were steady, quoted mostly
from 23.00-24.00; short grain prices were steady; second heads were steady to
1.50 lower; brewers were 50 cents to 1.00 lower. Brokens remain in tight supply.
Rice bran was 1.00-6.00 higher; rice hulls were steady.
