Buyers Wait For Birdseed Market
VANCOUVER - Jan 6/06 - SNS -- Few changes were noted in international birdseed ingredient markets, with buyers believing they are in control of markets.
Excess supplies of canaryseed in Canada and the availability of new crop canaryseed from Argentina is continuing to limit price potential for the commodity.
Most of the Argentine crop is expected to be bought directly by Brazilian importers, with the result its impact is felt more as a lessening of demand than as open price competition.
