USDA Tender Props U.S. BeansVANCOUVER - Jan 6/06 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets finished the week little changed, with many market participants still not back in the saddle after the Christmas and New Year's holiday break. Processors in the United States were encouraged by the USDA's purchase of 4,810 metric tons (MT) of pinto, 500 MT of small red and 90 MT of pea beans for shipment as food aid in February. The result lifted dry edible bean purchases so far this season to 27,080 MT, just ahead of the 26,250 MT bought for shipment between September and February of the previous marketing year.
