U.S. Dairy Product Output RisesWASHINGTON - Jan 6/06 - SNS -- Production of dairy products advanced in the United States in November, judging from the latest USDA data. Total cheese output (excluding cottage cheese) was 761 million pounds, 0.9% above November 2004 and 0.4% above October 2005. American type cheese production totaled 312 million pounds, 3.2% above November 2004 and 0.2% above October 2005. Butter production was 110 million pounds, 8.6% above November 2004 and 2.7% above October 2005. Frozen dessert: (comparisons with November 2004): Ice cream, Regular (hard) --- 61.8 million gallons, up 4.6%; Ice cream, Lowfat (total) --- 26.5 million gallons, down 3.1%; Ice cream, Nonfat (hard) --- 1.17 million gallons, up 4.7%; Sherbet (hard) --- 3.42 million gallons, down slightly; and Frozen Yogurt (total) --- 4.22 million gallons, down 10.4%.
