Chickpeas Unchanged, As UsualVANCOUVER - Dec 16/05 - SNS -- As usual, chickpea markets were little changed on the week, with kabulis holding firm against tight world supplies, while desis experienced some harvest selling pressure in Australia. That class of chickpea is mainly consumed on the Indian subcontinent and regional demand has been affected the past year by bountiful crops in both India and Pakistan. This has allowed Pakistan to emerge as a competitor with Australia and Canada for available demand in India.
