U.S. Milk Output Up In NovemberWASHINGTON - Dec 16/05 - SNS -- Milk production rose 4.6% above year earlier levels in November, totalling 13 billion pounds in the 23 major producing states in the United States, according to the USDA> October revised production, at 13.3 billion pounds, was up 4.0% from October 2004. The October revision represented a decrease of 17 million pounds from last month's preliminary production estimate. Production per cow in the 23 major States averaged 1,590 pounds for November, 59 pounds above November 2004. The number of milk cows on farms in the 23 major States was 8.16 million head, 60,000 head more than November 2004, and 2,000 head more than October 2005.
