Weekly U.S. Rail Loadings SlipWASHINGTON - Dec 15/05 - SNS -- The number of carloads of grains and oilseeds delivered to U.S. ports for the week ending December 7 slipped, according to the USDA's Transportation and Marketing Programs/Transportation Services Branch weekly Grain Transportation Report. Total carloads delivered to major port areas during the week totalled 9,097, down from 9,623 the previous week. This lifted crop year to date deliveries to a revised year to date total 423,736 cars, up 9% from the 387,307 cars unloaded during the same period last season. The data reveals interesting shifts in the direction of agricultural exports, with the number of cars entering Mexico up 3,700 at a revised 57,280 so far this year; while shipments to the Pacific Northwest are up around 14,400 at 210,911 cars.
