BioFuels Builds Ethanol PlantNEW YORK - Dec 14/05 - SNS -- BioFuels Solutions plans to build a 110 million-gallon-per-year ethanol plant in Wood River, Nebraska, about 100 miles west of Lincoln. The plant will have an exclusively source corn from the Cargill elevator located adjacent to it; and Cargill will market and distribute the plant's output, which, in addition to ethanol, would include more than 375,000 tons of dry distiller grain for animal feed annually. BioFuel Solutions is currently finalizing its plans and expects to make the investment in part based on the nearby railway and highway systems and strong community support. The company is working with the City of Wood River to confirm that the proposed plant meets all required environmental ordinances, state and federal laws. All environmental permits required for construction have been filed and are pending approval from the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality. The Delta-T/TIC Alliance, which is currently building the Midwest Grains Processors facility in Riga, MI, and will also be building the Fairmont plant has been selected to build and provide technology for the Woodriver facility. Biofuel Solutions expects to begin construction in the first quarter of 2006. Beyond creating demand for up to 41 million bushels of corn, the plant is expected to create approximately 50 full-time jobs.
