Mixed Finish For Lentil MarketVANCOUVER - Dec 10/05 - SNS -- International lentil markets finished the week on a mixed note, with greens advancing in value while red lentils slipped. The ready availability of new crop lentils from Australia is pressuring markets, resulting in a modest decline in inter-dealer trading lentils for Canadian red lentils. Harvest selling pressure is evident in Australia, but market analysts in that country are advising growers to sell no more than needed to pay bills because markets could advance at least $20 per metric ton (MT) through the second quarter of the 2006 calendar year.
