Ukraine Culls Crimean Poultry FlocksKIEV - Dec 9/05 - APK -- Press-service of Ukraine's Ministry for Emergency Situations says 35,703 head of poultry were culled from 2,228 local households between December 3 and 8 in the bird flu affected zone of Crimea. No infection among people has been reported. Up to the moment the owners of confiscated poultry in the affected area are said to have been refunded a total of 703,668 hryvnyas of damage (official rate is 5.05 hryvnias per $1).
