Weekly U.S. Rail Loadings SlipWASHINGTON - Dec 8/05 - SNS -- The number of carloads of grains and oilseeds delivered to U.S. ports for the week ending November 30 slipped, according to the USDA's Transportation and Marketing Programs/Transportation Services Branch weekly Grain Transportation Report. Total carloads delivered to major port areas during the week totalled 10,311, down from 11,040 the previous week. This lifted crop year to date deliveries to 444,086 cars, up 15% from the 386,709 cars unloaded during the same period last season. The data reveals interesting shifts in the direction of agricultural exports, with the number of cars entering Mexico up 25,300 at 84,851 so far this year; while shipments to the Pacific Northwest are up around 14,700 at 207,379 cars.
