USDA Buys for 19,710 MT PulsesKANSAS CITY - Dec 7/05 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 19,710 metric tons (MT) of pulses for shipment in January. In commenting on results of offers on USDA PL-480 food aid tender Solicitation No. 125, the USDA noted 500 MT of yellow split peas were not because offered prices were deemed too high. Prices paid for dry edible beans on this tender were little changed to higher; while trading levels for yellow peas were down, green peas up and lentils sharply lower.
