Field Pea Markets Trend Slightly LowerVANCOUVER - Dec 2/05 - SNS -- International field pea markets finished the week's trading unchanged to slightly lower as product available from growers and processors inched ahead of the needs of end users. Australia's field pea harvest is well engaged, with this year's harvest expected to end up 15.9% higher at 372,000 metric tons (MT). This is increasing competition for available demand from the Indian subcontinent, making it hard for prices to improve to levels which will allow grower bids for food grade peas to rise in response to a seasonal slow down in deliveries by North American growers.
