Seasonal Slow Down in Lentil MarketVANCOUVER - Dec 2/05 - SNS -- Lentil markets continue to struggle during the past week as they experience a seasonal slow down because of the virtual completion of the fall shipping season. While some end users are looking at buying freshly harvested red lentils from Australia, many become inactive in December. Northern hemisphere buyers have already covered most of their needs for lentils for canning and packaging for the winter months. On the other hand, southern hemisphere buyers are not yet ready to step into markets to finish covering their requirements for the first half of the calendar year.
