Record Pea Usage, Record Poor PricesVANCOUVER - Nov 18/05 - SNS -- Record disappearance levels for North American field peas are not translating into improved prices for growers. For the second year in a row, Canadian and U.S. grower bids are setting new record lows in Canadian currency terms. However, in U.S. dollar terms, only feed peas and U.S. field peas are at record low levels. Canadian green and yellow pea markets remain above lowest annual averages experienced between the 1998-99 and 2000-01 marketing years.
