Less Fluid U.S. Sugar Situation in 2005-06WASHINGTON - Nov 10/05 - SNS -- Sugar supplies will be down in the United States during the 2005-06 marketing year, according to the latest forecasts by the USDA's World Agricultural Outlook Board. This season's supply is forecast at 397,000 short tons, raw value. Reduced beginning stocks of 160,000 tons and production of 352,000 tons more than offset increased imports. Production projections are based on processors' reports compiled by the Farm Service Agency. Processor reports from Florida and Louisiana are updated to account for hurricane damage.
