Hawaiian Papaya Usage Up 4%WASHINGTON - Nov 10/05 - SNS -- Hawaii fresh papaya utilization is estimated at 2.47 million pounds for October, up 4% from last month but down 23% from a year ago, up 11% from 2004, according to the latest USDA crop production estimates. Area in crop totaled 2,380 acres, unchanged from last month but 13% above October 2004. Harvested area totaled 1,455 acres, unchanged from last month but up 7% from last year.
