Weekly U.S. Rail Loadings Increase
WASHINGTON - Nov 3/05 - SNS -- The number of carloads of grains and oilseeds delivered to U.S. ports for the week ending October 26 rose, according to the USDA's Transportation and Marketing Programs/Transportation Services Branch weekly Grain Transportation Report.
Total carloads delivered to major port areas during the week totalled 12,654, up from 11,293 the previous week. This lifted crop year to date deliveries to 388,368 cars, up 15% from the 336,800 cars unloaded during the same period last season.
