U.S. Sunflower Harvest Nearly Half DoneWASHINGTON - Oct 24/05 - SNS -- This year's sunflower seed harvest is nearly half complete across the United States, judging from the latest state level crop progress reports. Last week Colorado experienced sunny and dry conditions. Good drying weather aided the progress of sunflowers. Rainfall and temperatures were reported near or slightly above average for the week. The harvesting of sunflowers has continued with 50% of the crop now harvested. The sunflower crop was rated in good to fair condition last week.
