More Frozen Veggies on hand in U.S.WASHINGTON - Oct 21/05 - SNS -- Frozen vegetable supplies rose 19% during September to finish the month at almost 2,390 million pounds, down about 49,000 pounds from the previous year, according to the USDA's latest report on agricultural products in cold storage. Compared to the previous month, stocks of lima beans, green beans, carrots, cauliflower, onion rings, blackeye peas and squash were up. Compared to last year, stocks of lima beans, corn, onion rings, green peas were down. Supplies of potatoes in cold storage were higher, rising 5% on the month to 1,179 million pounds, up marginally from the previous year.
