Danone Sales Increase
LONDON - Oct 19/05 - SNS -- Groupe Danone reports total sales increased 7.1% in the third quarter of the current fiscal year, lifting year to date sales 6.7% above last year at Euros 9,853 million.
The company said changes in exchange rates had a positive impact of +0.3% while the scope of consolidation negatively impacted sales by -2.8%.
It reported sales for the first nine months of the current fiscal year were up 7.3% at Euros 5,342 million for its Fresh Dairy Products; while beverages are up 9.3% at Euros 2,738 million; and Biscuits & Cereal Product sales dropped from Euros 1,966 million to Euros 1,773 million.
