Mexico Expects 150,000 Fresh Strawberry Crop
WASHINGTON - Oct 14/05 - SNS -- Mexican frozen strawberry production for 2005-06 (Aug/July) is forecast to increase slightly, rising from 52,000 metric tons (MT) in 2004-05 to a forecast 52,200 MT this season.
The key, cautions the U.S. agricultural attache for the country, is whether there are sufficient supplies for processing from the domestic market, and if prices on the international market are attractive.
