Australian Livestock Auction Action JumpsSYDNEY - Oct 14/05 - SNS -- Livestock sold through online auctions managed by AuctionsPlus Pty Ltd jumped during the past week on gains in both sheep and cattle offerings. Throughput for the week totalled 36,088 sheep and lambs, up from 16,740 head the previous week, ending two weeks of decreased activity. The number of cattle put through the company's auctions totalled 4,138, compared to 731 last week, ending two weeks of declines. "Confusion reigns in the market place at present with another bad week for slaughter stock of both species," AuctionsPlus's Dean Lemmich said. "Alternatively, the store markets have been very strong." Subscribers can read the full text of the article by Clicking here
