Australian Livestock Auction Action DropsSYDNEY - Oct 7/05 - SNS -- Livestock sold through online auctions managed by AuctionsPlus Pty Ltd sank during the past week on declines in both sheep and cattle offerings. Throughput for the week totalled 16,740 sheep and lambs, down from 31,109 head the previous week, for a second week of decreased activity. The number of cattle put through the company's auctions totalled 731, compared to 1,651 last week, for a second week of declines. "Except for the better end of mutton, all other grades of sheep and lamb, and probably all grades of cattle dropped away this week," AuctionsPlus's Dean Lemmich said. "Markets appear to be glassy and it's difficult to predict which way they will move." Subscribers can read the full text of the article by Clicking here
