Manufacturers Egg Use RisesWASHINGTON - Oct 6/05 - SNS -- The quantity of eggs used by food manufacturers in the United States rose 7% in August, with the USDA reporting shell eggs broken totaled 181 million dozen, versus 168 million in July. During calendar year 2005 through August, shell eggs broken totaled 1.37 billion dozen, up 8% from the 1.27 million dozen broken in the comparable period in 2004.
